After leading the fleet out of the Mersey, Durban 2010 & Beyond are holding steady in 4th place. As you can imagine lots of video and photos were taken over the weekend and we hope to start getting them online this week. The footage will include shots of Durban 2010 & Beyond on the Mersey during the formation, plus the fleet rounding the downwind mark ... with Durban leading the way! So keep checking back over the week for updates, and hopefully word from the boat on how the crew are settling in and after what will have been a bumpy start whether John & Pete have let go of the heads yet!

I came up to see the final preparations for the race and spend a couple of nights partying with those who are brave enough to set sail and fulfill their dreams. It was good fun and a very colourful event for those of us who like to get the cameras out.
